This is my friend Kenedie. =] We bought sarongs this summer at the flea market, and she wanted to do photos wearing hers. The headdress she is wearing is mine; I got it from the county fair oddly enough, and it is hand-made and extremely delicate. I'm not great with the camera so be kind, please. =]

Careful, one is a nude... )

Hi! We got some blackberry candy corn on Halloween, and still had some left over, so I decided to take some pictures. I'm a big fan of macro photography, so I tried to do the best I could.

Hello! These days and nights of mine have been full of musings, thoughts, self-reflections, wise words from cherished ones, and music. No matter what is happening in my life, there is always music attached as if it were tangible! There is a specific song that is haunting me tonight, and has appeared from time to time in the last weeks, in and out. Moments call for certain songs. I can't explain it, but I'm sure a few of you would understand.

Now the dark air is like fire on my skin and even the moonlight is blindin.'  )

Gustav Klimt is my favorite artist. I discovered last fall that he's also my Great-Aunt Helen's favorite, which strikes me as poetic and brilliant.

I was personally "challenged" recently to let the vintage gowns drop. Well, if I focus on artistic nudes, these are my very favorites. ;)

Isa Chandra Moskowitz is my hero and I wish she would be my girlfriend. She is from Brooklyn, hosts a show called The Post Punk Kitchen, and has written a number of deeply deeply awesome vegan cookbooks including Vegan Cupcakes Take over the World, Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar, Vegan With A Vengeance and the Veganomicon.

I know that's a lot of 'Veg'es in one sentence, but I promise you don't have to be Vegetarian to enjoy her recipes.

The website that has her blog, forums, and tons of recipes is www.theppk.com.

one of my favorite recipes...ever, and some cupcake spam because you know you love cupcakes )

I hope you're drooling now. xo

Hi Everyone!

Hopefully this is okay. I'd like to promote the three blogs I recently created. Please feel free to delete this if it's not cool!

The Decadent Handbook is a blog dedicated to the Decadent movement in art and literature, and explores the darker side of the fin de siecle.

Cake Me is a collection of amazing, mind-boggling and beautiful cakes I've found on the Internet

Falling in Dull and Burnished Gold is dedicated to eccentric and unusual accessories, with information on where to buy them.

I really hope you like them!

This is probably the most beatiful classical ruin in Moscow region, which look almost "anitique". Puschino-na-Nare is a former noble estate situated in the southern part of the Moscow region, not far from the city Serpukhov (approximately 90 km to the South from Moscow). The main house was first erected in the late XVIIIth century, then rebuilt (in the classical forms again) in the beginning of the XXth century. It was abandoned in late 1980s, and since that time the monumental ruin has become the setting for numerous photo sessions. All pictures were taken about a week ago.

I thought I'd share my latest creation with you here as I think it fits :)

My book is finally ready! What started out as a project for myself at the
start of this year has become something I feel proud of to share with others.
50 pages of dreamy illustrations and surreal childhood memories of
mine are ready to be read.

The title "The Eternity beneath the Bathtub" is based on a childhood memory of mine.
Our bathtub was not free standing, and when you knocked against the bottom of it while
being inside it made a hollow sound (because of the small space between the tub wall and
the floor) and I imagined that space to be huge, endless and universe-like and sometimes
I was worried the tub would break loose off the bathroom and fall into that hole with me.
So I was always rather careful not to move around too much.

2008 I did a painting based on that memory as well. You can see if if you click here

I'd like to share a few pages with you here:

~~ take a look ~~ )
